This is why EarthSearch has developed the HALO personal GPS safety device. By leveraging much of the technology used in our LogiBoxx hardware, HALO is designed to guide and protect your teenager and secure the vehicle your teen is driving. HALO provides your teen driver with tools and features through GPS technology so that he or she will become a safer driver. With HALO, parents will be able to receive important information transmitted from the vehicle to a cell phone or computer while the driver receives audio in-cabin alerts from the device itself.

Combining the HALO hardware with our proprietary back end server, GATIS, EarthSearch is able to provide unique features through an in-cabin audio alert guide. Our technology has the capability to:

• Warn a teen to fasten their seat belt, if an unbuckled state is detected.
• Tell the driver to slow down when they have violated the speed limit the parent has established.
• Sound an alert when erratic driving behavior has been detected.
• Send alerts and notifications should the driver venture outside of a predefined "electronic fence" set by their parent.
   

HALO helps parents monitor the speed of the teenaged driver's car, distance driven, driving patterns, and it will list the locations to which their teen has traveled. HALO provides critical security information and capabilities to keep the members of your family safe while driving.

How It Works

HALO collects positioning data from triangulated satellites.  It then transmits real-time data via a wireless connection to our server.

Parents can then access real-time or historical data via a web browser or mobile device.  HALO can also be configured to send alerts via text messaging should the teen driver exceed speed limits, enter a ‘disallowed’ area, or otherwise exhibits erratic driving behaviors.

HALO Features

• Speed Monitoring: HALO gives parents the tools to eliminate speeding. Parents can establish speed limits and be alerted when those speeds have been exceeded. 
• Electronic Fence: Keep teenagers out of danger zones by setting up electronic fences used to establish restricted and safe areas by address, zip code, and intersection. With electronic fencing at their finger tips, parents can be alerted when the vehicle has gone out of an allowed zone or has traveled into a restricted zone.
• Live Tracking: See what's happening when it's happening. HALO allows parents access to view the teenager's vehicle activity live from a computer or compatible mobile device. This feature gives parents the ability to view a map which indicates the precise vehicle location and in which direction it is moving.
• Tamper Alert: Both the vehicle and the HALO device are secured with our tamper alert system. Parents will know instantly when there has been unauthorized attempt to move or tamper with the HALO safety device.
• Silent Alarm: The silent alarm allows your teenager to discretely press the an installed button in the vehicle to call for help without placing themselves in further danger.
• In-Cabin Audio Alert: HALO takes over when parents are not there to supervise the teen driver. With in-cabin audio alerts, a teen driver will automatically know when safety protocols are not being followed, and parents will have access to historical data to enforce improved behaviors.
• Disable Engine: With the help of HALO's disable engine feature, car thieves won't get far as parents can safely and remotely shut off a HALO enabled car's engine. Parents will also be able to notify authorities of the precise location of the vehicle so it can be easily retrieved.
• Cell Phone Notification: Parents can find out what's going on anywhere, at any time, via an SMS enabled cell phone capable of receiving text messages.
