Teen Driving Solutions

When teenagers obtain their drivers license and begin to experiment with their new found freedom, most parents worry about the safety of their child. They wonder where they are, how they are driving and whether or not they are in danger. The most critical time for a new driver is in the early stages of being on the road without supervision. Now that they are on their own, it is important for them to get the appropriate guidance in order to make wiser decisions while driving.

GPS tracking for teenagers can be a useful tool in the hands of a concerned or watchful parent that is a great instrument for parents for guiding their teens through the early years of driving. Our teen driving solution provides young drivers with the unique tools and features to help them stay safe and aware on the road while allowing parents to monitor and be in control anywhere in real-time. Our GPS tracking solution helps to empower parents by giving information that they would never be able to gather on their own.

Our teen driving solution addresses many concerns for parents as far as safety and security. With the use of our Intelligent GPS device and proprietary back end server, Global Transit ID Solutions, we are able to provide unique features thru an in-cabin audio alert guide to tell a teen to wear the seat belt, slow down and that they have violated the speed limit their parent has established, to drive cautiously because erratic driving has been detected, or that they are going outside of a predefined electronic fence set by their parent. It also helps parents monitor the speed of the teenaged driver's car, distance driven, driving patterns, and where their teen has traveled.

  • Compared with other age groups, teens have the lowest rate of seat belt use with 10% of high school students reported they rarely or never wear seat belts when riding with someone else (CDC 2006).
  • Teens are more likely than older drivers to speed and allow shorter headways (the distance from the front of one vehicle to the front of the next) (NHTSA 2005).
  • The risk of motor vehicle crashes is higher among 16- to 19-year-olds than among any other age group. In fact, per mile driven, teen drivers ages 16 to 19 are four times more likely than older drivers to crash (CDC 2006).
