East Coast Diversified Corporation to Expand Global Footprint Through Channel Partners, Restructuring
ATLANTA, Georgia – May 11, 2010– East Coast Diversified Corporation (ECDC) today announced that its newly acquired operation, EarthSearch Communications International, Inc. (EarthSearch), has restructured its corporate management team to optimize its effectiveness and growth of the business within the ECDC infrastructure. One of the key changes made involves the appointment of John Ferguson, former Western Region Manager of Integrated Business Solutions for EarthSearch, to head the newly created International Channel Partners Program. In his new role as Vice President of Channel Partner Relations, Ferguson will drive the global growth of EarthSearch’s channel partner business.
“Our technology and the solutions we provide address a myriad of asset tracking related issues across many industries. This diversity would make it nearly impossible to adequately cover the potential opportunities globally without solid channel partners,” said Ferguson. “We are currently negotiating partner relationships based on current demand from North America, the United Kingdom, Poland, Turkey, Mexico, Brazil, Africa, Dubai, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Indonesia and several others.”
Ferguson has nearly 20 years of experience with channel partner programs both as a director and from the reseller’s side. Ferguson’s brainchild for ECDC’s program will be called, “Team EarthSearch,” and will be made up of multiple tiers of partner programs with the overarching philosophy that channel partners will all be a part of the larger ECDC family. ECDC plans to closely manage its markets and assure channel partners that they will be appropriately protected. Team members will be provided with advanced business tools, including technology for management of lead sharing, lead registration, as well as price protection and many other ‘partner-centric’ benefits of membership.
“John Ferguson’s experience and background in channel partner programs should bring significant growth to our business in the near term,” said Kayode Aladesuyi, Chairman and CEO of ECDC and EarthSearch.
Other significant management changes include the creation of a new marketing team, led by Bill Sengstacken as Vice President of Marketing. Sengstacken brings more than 15 years of marketing, branding and management experience, having guided top technology companies through periods of highly successful growth, diversification and globalization. Before joining EarthSearch, Sengstacken held high-level marketing positions at open source middleware firms JBoss and Terracotta. His work as Brand and Marketing Manager at JBoss was a key component in Red Hat acquiring JBoss for over $370 Million.
Assisting Sengstacken is Marketing Manager Michelle Robinson, a graduate of the University of Florida with over 10 years of graphic design, public relations, and online marketing experience in the B2B environment. Together, Sengstacken and Robinson lead a team of graphic designers and animators who are currently working on enhancing the EarthSearch brand with the development of animations, social media content and other marketing collateral that will position EarthSearch as a leading manufacturer and supplier of real-time location solutions in the marketplace.
“The restructuring of key members of our corporate management team was a necessary move,” said Kayode Aladesuyi, Chairman and CEO of ECDC and EarthSearch. “Our marketing team is stronger than ever and is developing business processes and messaging that will speak to the needs of businesses across industries. This is an exciting time for ECDC and EarthSearch. I look forward to seeing what I feel will be a positive response to our enhanced approach throughout the coming weeks.”
