No matter if the assets in question are parts destined for a repair of a deployed element in the utility space, or if they are to be sent to a customer or partner, it is becoming increasingly clear that knowing where your assets are at all times is mission-critical. Equally important is the ability to monitor the actions of those who maintain access to those assets.

This is why EarthSearch has developed the TrailerSeal. Combining a best of breed Global Positioning System (GPS) with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) reader in one mobile unit gives managers and operations centers the real-time data to know precisely where all of tagged assets are while they are in-transit. How does it work?

TrailerSeal is an innovative mechanical, battery-powered padlock that is embedded with RFID, GPS, and GPRS for remote container tracking, all in one unit. TrailerSeal records and transmits every location / event and sends alerts of undesignated stops or trailer access by a driver or unauthorized persons. Powered by rechargeable lithium batteries capable of lasting up to 90 days, TrailerSeal can be programmed to communicate each hour of the day and will send notifications in the case of event triggered alerts. TrailerSeal for mobile assets provides monitoring and reporting of cargo, supplies and vehicle locations in real-time and confirms tagged asset destination and delivery / installation. TrailerSeal also secures assets from theft and sends alerts in cases of unscheduled stops by drivers.

Built on the LogiBoxx platform, The TrailerSeal padlock is ISO17712 high-security seal compliant for intermodal shipping and ISO17712 indicative seal for closed-loop logistics.  TrailerSeal also leverages the GATIS Middleware to offer reporting and monitoring functions.
